1971
- Encap Castings Ltd was founded. Based in the South East of England
the main focus of the company was the encapsulation of electrical components
using a resin casting method perfected by the founder Mr. H. Matthews.
1990
- Encaps use of injection moulding had increased to such a degree that
it was decided that the company name should be changed to reflect this.
So the new title of Encap Thermoplastics Ltd. was adopted.
Over time the amount of resin cast encapsulation work reduced and injection
moulding became the main activity.
2004
- Encap was bought by the current owner / manager Jim Whitehead. Jim
has over fifteen years experience in toolmaking and CAD/CAM industry
and so has brought with him the related technical knowledge, allowing
a broader range of services to be offered.
Our plan for the future is to establish Encap as a leading niche injection
moulding / design solution business in Essex.
