Design and Development
Using the latest 3D CAD software we are able to offer design and development
of inventions in house. With our knowledge and expertise we can advise
on the feasability of your invention as an injection moulded product
and offer solutions which benefit productivity and cost savings.
Encap can create a 3D CAD model of your design from your initial concept
sketches or we can use your own CAD data. We are able to accept CAD
data in a variety of file formats and media.
One 2 One Design
With this service you will be invited to come to our design office where
we will discuss your project with you and create the initial 3D model
while you wait. This keeps you closely involved in the design process.
The design will then be developed to ensure its suitability for production
using plastic injection moulding.
Prototypes & Models
We can arrange manufacture of pre-production block models or SLA models
to allow you to see how your finished part will look without the need
for mould tooling.
Injection Mould Tooling
When you have approved the design, tooling manufacture can proceed.
Encap will provide guidance on the type of tooling needed based on your
expected batch size and predicted yearly quantities.
Encap has close links with local toolmakers and can source injection
mould tooling plus any additional jigs and fixtures which may be required
to assemble and finish your product.
You can be confident that tooling sourced by Encap will be maintained
throughout it's working life.
Initial Production - Injection Moulding
When tooling is completed the production of your parts can begin.
We can produce your parts and perform the required finishing and assembly
as required.Encap have the required facilities to handle the low volumes
of production sometimes required with new ideas. Typically between 100
and 50,000 parts. Larger volume batches are also possible depending
on part size and weight. Prior to the first production run we will supply
free samples of parts to ensure your satisfaction.
